I usually keep my phones for approximately 2 years, then get a new phone. My last 4 phones have been Motorola, with my last 2 phones being a Droid Turbo and now a Motorola Z2Force.

I generally use everything I own until it dies. I upgraded my phone last year for more memory. At present it has a cracked screen but it's working so it stays until it it's dead.
